Ezra Jay

Ezra’s excitement for the Haiti Tree project is deep-seated.

"When I was a child, I sailed past Haiti. The specter of extreme deforestation forever altered my view of natural resources."

Ezra is a dad, sits on the Alaska Community Forestry Council, is the Director of Greenstand, and has extensive experience addressing the challenges of survival and the real long-term impact of tree projects around the world. He firmly believes that successful reforestation projects are social projects first—The Haiti Tree Project embodies this concept.

"The next time I sail a boat by Haiti, I'm confident that it is going to be entirely covered by a lush forest and the issue of hunger will have been solved."
